Making Sense of Why Marlo Hampton Yelled at Drew Sidora | Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 Episode 3

Why Marlo Hampton Yelled at Drew Sidora on Episode 3 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta

To many viewers, it seemed bizarre that Marlo Hampton had an outburst directed at Drew, seemingly for no reason, during episode 3 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Well, Marlo herself decided to get on Instagram live to explain to her followers what was really going on. After watching the video, I feel it makes sense to me now what she was really trying to convey.

What Happened at OLG and Blaze

So it appears that drama has been going on at Kandi Burruss’s restaurant for a while. During the live Instagram video, Marlo Hampton revealed that her nephew who previously worked at OLG restaurant, had been shot and killed. She made it very clear that the shooting did not take place at the restaurant, but rather, a roommate of her nephew attacked him.

On the other hand, the incident involving Blaze Steakhouse restaurant actually occurred at the premises. An employee arrived at work intoxicated and acted belligerently at work. Kandi’s cousin asked the employee to leave and that is when he got shot.

What is Marlo’s Problem with Kandi?

I personally felt that I understood why Marlo has an issue with Kandi. Fundamentally she feels that Kandi is not truly being honest about her real life, especially given the fact that they are on a reality tv show. This is why Marlo said that Kandi needs to simply acknowledge what really happened because real life is not always perfect.

To me, I actually agree with Marlo. If Kandi is not being honest about what is really happening in her life, then she should not be a cast on the show. However, Kandi’s husband Todd Tucker, had stated during episode 2 that the reason they do not want to discuss the incident at Blaze is because it is an ongoing legal situation. That I also understand.

Why Marlo Yelled at Drew

According to Marlo’s live video, she felt that Drew should be talking to Kandi about it. Marlo felt that it was unfair that if something bad happened in Kandi’s life, that everyone would protect Kandi by not bringing it up on the show.

Was the reaction from Marlo warranted? I don’t know. All I can say is that I understand Marlo’s point of view. Let me know your personal thoughts on the drama.
