Is Kenya Moore Going to Be Permanently Fired from the Real Housewives of Atlanta?

Regardless of your personal position on whether Bravo’s decision of suspending Kenya Moore was justified or not, we all can agree that no one really knows whether Bravo will permanently fire Kenya Moore from the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Her actions were so extreme that most people at her hair spa grand opening walked out. But is this enough to fire her permanently? In my opinion, no! However, let us get into this discussion.

How Bravo Fires Real Housewives 

In my book, the Real Reasons why Real Housewives Get Fired, I wrote about the “real reasons” why Bravo removes or fires people from the show. The book was written and inspired by Phaedra Parks exit from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, which you can read here on my page about Real Housewives getting fired. I highly recommend you read it. To be honest, now I don’t know whose actions was worse; Phaedra or Kenya. All I can say is that Atlanta housewives have made more Bravo history than any other city. 

Looking back at the history of Real Housewives, it is very obvious that an individual’s actions doesn’t often warrant being fired. Think about it; how is it that Porsha Williams remains a full time housewife despite dragging Kenya by the hair? Why is that Phaedra Parks is returning to the Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16? It is not a mystery that it takes more than bad behavior to be permanently fired by Bravo. What leads to firing is a combination of factors that they consider before making their decision. In many ways, Kenya was lucky she was only suspended and not fired.

Will Real Housewives of Atlanta Fans Be Happy with Kenya Moore Being Permanently Fired?

Despite numerous people, including myself, being in agreement with Bravo’s decision of suspending Kenya Moore from continuing to film for season 16, many fans are not happy, especially after watching what Brittany Eady said to Kenya about owning pistols. The fans feel that the punishment was only directed at Kenya, and that Brittany should have been suspended as well. So, if Bravo permanently suspends Kenya, all hell will break loose; fans of the show may boycott the show altogether.

Kenya Moore Being Fired Impact on Ratings

Every new season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta always has people speculating why the ratings are not what they used to be. The viewers often blame low ratings on cast dynamics, especially now with season 16 viewership not being more than 0.76 million views. 

Since season 16 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta aired, the ratings have been struggling, which has led many fans to speculate that it is due to the fact that Kenya was suspended. In my opinion, I really don’t think so. Yes, there are some cast members that play an important role, like Sheree Whitfield being called the bone collector, but for the most part, it always comes down to storylines. Without the a good storyline, any show is a dud.

In addition, the success of any reality tv show boils down to the cast makeup. From what I have heard, having an ensemble cast is crucial to a having a successful show. There have to be characters that are provocateurs and those that are neutral. Bravo has to figure out what they need to do to get the Real Housewives of Atlanta back at the top of the ratings.
